Northern Dutchess County, situated squarely in the Mid-Hudson Valley, is only an hour-and-a-half away from New York City. The area was originally populated by Native Americans, and was "discovered" by Henry Hudson in 1609. Northern Dutchess has a recorded history that spans four hundred years.
